The Alida is a distinguished 173-room hotel situated on Savannah's revitalized riverfront, seamlessly blending modern life with timeless Southern charm. Named in honor of Alida Harper Fowlkes, a celebrated entrepreneur in the city, The Alida embodies the spirit of self-made artisans who cultivate the contemporary culture of Savannah. As part of the Makeready collection, the hotel prides itself on delivering a unique and memorable guest experience that captures the essence of Southern hospitality combined with innovative, current trends in taste and ambiance. The Alida is not just a place to stay; it is a destination where guests discover what is now, what is new, and what is next in food, beverage, and service.

The Food & Beverage Director role at The Alida is a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing and maintaining all facets of food and beverage planning and service throughout the hotel. This role requires someone with a visionary mindset who continually seeks to push boundaries while respecting the rich traditions of Southern hospitality. The director will collaborate closely with the culinary team to design menus that reflect both creativity and guest preferences, ensuring exceptional preparation and presentation standards. An integral part of this position includes monitoring operational budgets, controlling costs, and managing inventory to maximize revenue effectively.

Safety remains a top priority, and the director ensures that all health and safety protocols are consistently upheld to provide a secure environment for both guests and team members. Additionally, this role involves crafting innovative marketing and promotional strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance the hotel's competitive edge in Savannah's vibrant hospitality industry.

Leadership and mentorship are crucial aspects of the Food & Beverage Director's responsibilities. The individual in this role fosters a customer-first culture, inspiring and guiding the Food & Beverage team to deliver unparalleled service and memorable experiences for every guest. With an excellent eye for detail and organization, the director balances operational excellence with creative flair, ensuring the hotel remains a standout destination for visitors.

Working within the supportive framework of Makeready LLC, the Food & Beverage Director benefits from a comprehensive suite of thoughtful employee perks and benefits designed to promote health, happiness, and well-being. These include accommodating paid time off policies, medical, dental, and vision benefits, parental leave options, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care and 401k plans, and a student loan repayment program. The Alida and Makeready are committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace where diversity is celebrated, and every team member is encouraged to bring their authentic self to work.

This full-time leadership opportunity offers a competitive salary aligned with industry standards and the chance to influence Savannah's hospitality scene significantly.
