Job Description

The Ned and Ned's Club represent a global collection of upscale hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants designed as gathering places for like-minded individuals to meet, work, and enjoy exceptional experiences. Since its initial launch in London in 2017, The Ned has expanded globally, with Ned's Club in Washington DC opening as the fourth and newest location in 2025. This prestigious members-only club is situated in a neoclassical-style, historically significant Riggs Building located in the heart of the US capital—opposite the US Treasury, around the corner from the White House, and overlooking notable landmarks such as the Washington Monument. Occupying three floors, Ned's Club offers exclusive dining and entertainment experiences through a range of feature-rich environments including a Rooftop Terrace, Loft Restaurant, Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery, Conservatory, and private event spaces on the ninth floor.

The Director of Food & Beverage at Ned’s Club is a pivotal, full-time leadership role commanding a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $195,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Reporting directly to the General Manager and serving as a key member of the Executive Committee, this role is responsible for overseeing the entire food and beverage operations of the Club. The role demands a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment, juggling multiple projects and delivering excellence with efficiency and flair. The Director will champion the club’s signature elevated yet approachable service standards across all venues, ensuring every guest—whether a member or visitor—receives an extraordinary and personalized culinary and beverage experience.

This senior position carries the vital responsibility of managing full profit and loss lifecycle activities, including forecasting, budgeting, labor management, and driving revenue growth through innovative avenues. The Director partners closely with the Area Managing Director, General Manager, Executive Chef, and other executives to develop and implement systems that optimize service delivery and operational efficiency while fostering a collaborative and inspiring workplace culture. Integral to this leadership position is the recruitment, onboarding, and development of a talented food and beverage team, promoting continuous education around product knowledge through storytelling, demonstrations, and guest engagements.

Engagement with the membership is a continuous priority, ensuring feedback is actively solicited, addressed, and integrated into service initiatives to enhance satisfaction and loyalty. The Director also plays a key role in managing guest relations, handling service anomalies, and upholding the highest guest satisfaction metrics. Participation in brand alignment, sponsorship management, and supporting peak-hour operations are essential components of this challenging role. Flexibility in scheduling and physical endurance are required to support events and daily functions effectively.

Ned's Club prides itself on its vibrant culture balanced with strong support for its team members—fostering an environment where diversity, equity, and inclusion are championed to build the best possible workplace in hospitality. If you have a passion for luxury food and beverage operations and leadership excellence, this opportunity to lead at one of the nation’s premier members' clubs in Washington DC may be the perfect next step in your career.
