The Director of Food and Beverage role at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is a leadership position critical to maintaining the hotel’s reputation for excellence. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $170,000 and involves overseeing all food and beverage operations within the property. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader passionate about advancing the culinary and beverage experiences while fostering a positive workplace culture. The role includes responsibility for strategic planning, budget management, team development, and collaborative menu creation to ensure exceptional quality and value.

A successful Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons will bring a creative approach to cost control and revenue enhancement while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. This position demands a strong partnership with the General Manager and other department heads to align food and beverage offerings with the overall vision and standards of the hotel.

The Director will ensure seamless communication across departments, support ongoing training and evaluation for staff, and uphold the company’s cultural and operational standards. Job Requirements

  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or business administration, or equivalent experience
  • Five to seven years previous experience in multiple food & beverage department head positions
  • Working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Legal work authorization in the United States

Job Duties

  • Coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees and managers in the Food & Beverage Division through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met
  • long-range strategic planning for outlet operation
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit in the division and hotel
  • Be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons through effective marketing and personal relationships
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Planning Committee to design effective menus, wine lists, and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price
  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
