With a network of communities that emphasize a respectful, engaging, and supportive living environment, Spectrum Retirement Communities is recognized for its dedication to enriching the lives of seniors through exceptional services and amenities.
The Director of Food and Beverage at Spectrum Retirement Communities plays a pivotal role in delivering an outstanding dining experience tailored to meet the unique needs of senior residents. This full-time position involves overseeing all facets of the Food and Beverage Department to ensure excellence in food quality, safety, and service. The role requires recruiting, training, motivating, and educating staff to maintain high standards of operation and resident satisfaction. The Director is responsible for maintaining efficient department records and managing administrative tasks essential to smooth operations. This includes establishing and monitoring sanitation procedures for kitchens and dining areas to comply with health and safety regulations.
Collaborating closely with the community leadership team, the Director of Food and Beverage coordinates special functions and other resident events, ensuring that dietary and hospitality needs are met with precision and care. The Director must also ensure strict adherence to all state, local, and federal regulations related to food safety, workplace safety (including OSHA compliance), and general operational guidelines within the Food and Beverage Department. This role demands strong leadership capabilities, a thorough understanding of dietary services in senior living or healthcare settings, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment that supports team development and resident satisfaction.
Spectrum Retirement Communities offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as 401(k) plans and various voluntary insurance options. Both full-time and part-time team members enjoy paid time off, holiday pay, access to Daily Pay, and discounts through the Perk Spot program. Spectrum values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, encouraging applications from all qualified individuals. The company also participates in the E-Verify program to ensure employment eligibility. While Spectrum encourages COVID-19 vaccination among its team members, it respects individual choices and does not mandate it.
