It has become a landmark in the hospitality industry, attracting visitors from diverse backgrounds who seek not only entertainment and relaxation but also a genuine cultural connection. The resort's mission emphasizes creating a welcoming, family-like atmosphere for guests and staff alike, exemplifying a sense of community and belonging with the statement "You are a part of our family; Welcome Home!"

The role of Director of Food and Beverage at the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the excellence the resort is known for. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing the coordination, administration, and strategic direction of all food and beverage operations across the property’s multiple venues. The Director ensures that all activities align with the resort’s mission, vision, and guiding principles while complying with operational policies, gaming regulations, and alcoholic beverage control laws. This leadership position demands a dynamic individual who can drive superior customer service through initiatives like the Coeur Spirit Program, which is central to the resort’s guest experience philosophy.

In this role, the Director of Food and Beverage works closely with other departments to maximize overall profitability, attract new guests, and foster loyalty among existing customers through impeccable hospitality and service. The Director also plays a crucial role in fostering positive staff relations and handling employee matters in coordination with Human Resources, ensuring that all personnel actions are compliant and well-documented. Another important aspect of the role is responding promptly to guest concerns and feedback to maintain high levels of satisfaction and loyalty. Financial oversight is critical, with responsibilities covering budgeting, controlling food and labor costs, and managing inventory to meet short and long-term profit objectives.

Beyond these operational duties, the Director of Food and Beverage must uphold high standards of food quality, safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance. The position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, adept at variance analysis and financial result interpretation. Experience with Microsoft Office tools and effective conflict management skills are also essential. The role demands self-motivation, teamwork, excellent communication, and leadership abilities to guide a diverse team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old, able to obtain a gaming license, and pass initial and random drug screenings. Educational qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with a college or university degree in Food and Beverage Management preferred. Candidates should also bring at least four years of relevant experience managing food and beverage operations in multiple venue properties or similar environments.

The Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel values inclusivity and follows a hiring preference that supports Coeur d'Alene Tribal Members, their families, members of other federally recognized tribes, and all other applicants, promoting diversity and community representation within its workforce.

This role is physically demanding to some extent, requiring frequent standing, sitting, repetitive hand use, occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds, and mobility throughout the property. Vision abilities such as close, distance, and peripheral vision are necessary to perform the essential functions effectively.
