The role available is for the Director of Food and Beverage, a key leadership position within the hotel’s management structure. Reporting directly to the General Manager and serving as a vital member of the hotel’s Leadership Committee, the Director of Food and Beverage oversees all food and beverage operations across the property, including restaurants, markets, lounges, and any other related areas. This position commands a strategic approach to operations, combining short and long-term planning with innovative integration of technology, including AI, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

The Director of Food and Beverage is tasked with developing budgets, marketing plans, and operational objectives while managing day-to-day activities to align with approved plans. This leadership role also plays a crucial part in colleague development, responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations to foster a high-performance team culture. Additionally, overseeing payroll, inventory control, reporting, and forecasting ensures smooth financial management. Strong collaboration with other hotel departments is essential to delivering seamless guest service and maintaining Hyatt’s high standards. The Director also addresses guest concerns, implements quality control measures, ensures compliance with health regulations and alcohol service laws, and maintains open communication with corporate staff. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience
  • Experience within the hotel or hospitality industry
  • Service-oriented leadership style
  • Strong professional presentation and communication skills

  • Degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Experience managing high-volume operations

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Food & Beverage leadership experience within the hotel or hospitality industry, preferably with Hyatt
  • Service-oriented leadership style with strong professional presentation and communication skills
  • Proven leadership ability with a track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
  • Possess key strengths including high energy, entrepreneurial mindset, motivational leadership, and a proven track record managing high-volume operations
  • Strong ability to deliver exceptional guest service while driving operational performance and financial results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
  • Experience implementing innovative Food & Beverage concepts with a creative and strategic approach
  • Passion for innovation and technology, including experience utilizing AI tools and resources to enhance operations and efficiency

Job Duties

  • Responsible for short and long-term planning and the management of the Food and Beverage operations in the front and back of the house
  • Knowledge and focus on technology, specifically integration of AI into the operation for efficiencies
  • Develops and recommends budgets, marketing plans, and objectives, and manages operations within approved plans and budgets
  • Participate in total hotel management as a member of the hotel Leadership Committee
  • Implement and maintain F&B sales/marketing programs
  • Direct and oversee development of colleagues
  • Hire, train, empower, coach, and counsel team members
  • conduct performance evaluations and salary reviews
  • Direct the implementation and management of payroll, reporting, forecasting, inventory control, and budgeting for food and beverage operations
  • Coordinate food and beverage operations with other hotel departments to ensure seamless and efficient guest service
  • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and maintain service excellence
  • Develop and implement procedures that enhance both guest and colleague satisfaction
  • Oversee quality control standards for all food and beverage offerings
  • Maintain Hyatt service standards and ensure consistent execution across all operations
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt corporate standards
  • Ensure responsible beverage service and compliance with DABS licensing, permitting, and alcohol service regulations
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with Corporate staff
  • Coach and counsel colleagues to uphold Hyatt service standards, policies, and procedures
