This full-time role is ideal for a visionary and passionate leader who is committed to excellence in food and beverage service. With a salary range of $150,000 to $170,000, this position offers the opportunity to lead an exceptional team that delivers unforgettable dining experiences in one of Southern California’s most exclusive settings. The Director of Food and Beverage will play a critical role in coordinating all aspects of food and beverage operations. This includes overseeing employee selection, training, and development as well as managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving revenue growth through innovative strategies. \n\nThe ideal candidate will have an extensive background in food and beverage management, preferably with five to seven years of previous experience in multiple department head roles. They will possess a deep love for culinary excellence and a strategic vision for elevating the hotel’s culinary and beverage offerings. This leader will collaborate closely with the General Manager and planning committees to design menus, wine lists, and amenity options that align with Four Seasons' high standards of quality and value. Beyond operational management, the position requires a highly visible presence within the outlet operations, fostering strong relationships with both regular and new guests through personalized service and effective marketing initiatives. Regular communication and coordination with various departments are essential for ensuring seamless operations and exceeding guest expectations. \n\nThis role demands proficient computer skills and a working knowledge of food and beverage systems as well as Four Seasons core standards, policies, and procedures. Furthermore, fluency in English for reading, writing, and oral communication is necessary. Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. Job Requirements

  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or business administration, or equivalent experience
  • Five to seven years previous experience in multiple food & beverage department head positions
  • Working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Legal work authorization in the United States

Job Duties

  • Coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees and managers in the Food & Beverage Division through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met
  • Long-range strategic planning for outlet operation
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit in the division and hotel
  • Be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons through effective marketing and personal relationships
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Planning Committee to design effective menus, wine lists, and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price
  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met
  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
