Job Requirements

  • Certificate or degree from accredited culinary school, college, or technical institution preferred
  • Minimum of five years management-level Food and Beverage experience or equivalent
  • Experience overseeing food and beverage operations including sales, inventory control, cost management, and food preparation
  • Experience in food purchasing for catering and concession environments including price negotiation
  • ServSafe Food and Alcohol certifications
  • PCI Compliance credentials
  • Alcohol-awareness training
  • Ability to train others in alcohol-awareness
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and staff
  • Results-driven with budget management skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong planning, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service, organizational, multitasking, planning, written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to create visually appealing buffet presentations while maintaining product quality

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of the Food and Beverage Department at The Lansing Center and Groesbeck Golf Course
  • Market Food and Beverage services to clients
  • Establish operational controls and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage staff hiring, training, scheduling, performance, and disciplinary actions
  • Create sales projections, event budgets, and maintain fiscal documentation
  • Control inventory, spoilage, and cost of sales
  • Inspect and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation
