Job Description

The Peninsula Hotels is a prestigious name in the luxury hospitality sector, known globally for its exceptional service standards, elegant accommodations, and outstanding guest experiences. With a legacy of excellence, the Peninsula brand represents the pinnacle of luxury in the hotel industry. The Peninsula New York, situated in one of the most dynamic and competitive luxury markets globally, embodies this tradition through its range of exquisite Food & Beverage outlets. These include unique dining venues, sophisticated bars, elegant banquets, and personalized in-room dining services, all designed to provide guests with memorable culinary experiences that align with the highest standards of luxury service, culinary excellence, and guest personalization.

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Food & Beverage Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across all Food & Beverage operations within the hotel. This pivotal role involves ensuring the highest luxury standards while driving revenue growth, profitability, and enhancing the market positioning of the hotel’s Food & Beverage division. The position commands full ownership of financial performance, including profit and loss accountability, aggressive revenue targets, and cost optimization, all benchmarked against luxury hospitality standards. The director will develop and implement comprehensive annual business plans that incorporate sophisticated pricing strategies, demand forecasting, and data-driven revenue management tailored specifically for the New York luxury market.

The Food & Beverage Director will lead, mentor, and hold accountable a high-performing leadership team across all outlets, setting measurable KPIs that reflect Peninsula brand standards and guest satisfaction metrics. By fostering a culture of innovation and continuous reinvention, this role ensures that all dining concepts achieve industry-leading recognition through partnerships and global luxury trends.

A key part of the role is driving a culture of anticipatory service and exceptional guest recognition, providing fully personalized experiences especially for VIP, repeat, and high-profile guests. The director will also oversee world-class talent acquisition processes, building an elite team of hospitality professionals who exemplify excellence, discipline, and ongoing professional development. Training programs emphasizing luxury service choreography, product knowledge, and emotional intelligence are central to this role.

Collaboration with Culinary leadership is essential to ensure menu innovation, stringent cost control, and alignment with the hotel’s brand positioning and market demand. The director will also spearhead marketing, branding, and public relations initiatives focused on enhancing media visibility, influencer engagement, and securing critical acclaim for the Food & Beverage outlets. Through strategic event programming and seasonal activations reflecting New York City's rich cultural calendar, the hotel will be established as a premier destination dining hub.

Compliance with all regulatory requirements, including New York City health, safety, and union regulations, is mandatory, maintaining zero tolerance for standards lapses. As a key member of the Executive Committee, the Food & Beverage Director contributes significantly to overall hotel strategy, profitability, and brand equity. The role demands being a visible and active ambassador of the Peninsula brand within both local and international luxury communities. Managing labor relations proactively within a unionized environment is critical, ensuring operational excellence while adhering to compliance frameworks.

This is an exceptional leadership opportunity with an offered annual salary range of $180,000 to $195,000. Candidates must have work authorization in the United States to be considered. The successful candidate will bring a proven history of driving luxury Food & Beverage operations in ultra-luxury settings, displaying expert-level operational, financial, and leadership skills to elevate Peninsula New York as a global icon of culinary excellence and luxury hospitality.
