Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum four to six years of food & beverage management experience
  • experience working in a high-volume facility
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation laws
  • open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • professional appearance and demeanor
  • commitment to member service
  • certification in food handling, TABC, and CPR preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts preferred
  • minimum four to six years of food & beverage management experience in a high-volume facility

  • proven ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • experience in menu planning and service innovation
  • excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • certification in food handling, TABC, and CPR preferred
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times

Job Duties

  • Manages the entire food & beverage operation including dining room, kitchen, lounges, snack bars, catering, and beverage cart
  • plans and implements creative food service with variety and innovation
  • hires, disciplines, and discharges dining room and lounge staff
  • advises Executive Chef and other managers on staffing matters
  • establishes and maintains high standards of service, quality, and job performance
  • resolves complaints promptly and courteously
  • seeks constant member feedback
  • establishes policies and procedures for efficient operation of food service venues
  • supervises staff to follow policies and procedures
  • establishes ongoing training programs
  • trains staff to meet food quality and service standards
  • ensures cost-effective scheduling
  • controls food costs with inventory and portion control
  • ensures compliance with ABC laws
  • plans, costs, and prices menus with chef
  • performs quality control on food and service areas
  • maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • establishes quality wine service and trains staff
  • ensures safe equipment operation and reports defects
  • secures food stocks and conducts inventories
  • enforces dress code and department policies
  • fosters effective communication within departments
  • performs other duties assigned
  • controls budget items including food sales, cost of food sold, revenues, and departmental expenses
  • maintains confidentiality of personnel information
  • works in fast-paced environment with open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • maintains professional appearance and demeanor
  • communicates effectively with members and staff
  • oversees training and team development
