Job Requirements
- B.A. in hospitality management, business, sales or marketing or three years of equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of wedding/events experience
- Minimum three years of sales experience
- Extensive knowledge of social media marketing including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
- Must be extremely organized and flexible
- Must have strong sales and guest management skills
- Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Must be proactive and able to prioritize
- Must have impeccable appearance and professional demeanor
- Must be outgoing and personable with public speaking ability
- Must be passionate about food, beverage, and wedding planning
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

- Knowledge of current food and beverage trends preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain and increase sales of weddings/events at Cheekwood to meet target year end revenue goals
- Lead internal and public programming, development logistics, and oversee campus wide calendars and happenings
- Negotiate and maintain relationships with exclusive and preferred vendors
- Oversee client processes managed by Event Operations Manager, Event Sales Manager, and Event Coordinators
- Generate, oversee, and maintain yearly budget goals
- Manage department accounting, invoicing, and monthly and quarterly reporting to CFO
- Conduct site visits with potential clients including corporate, sponsor, and wedding
- Work directly with clients and planners to book venues by presenting proposals, ideas, and venue options
- Respond to all rental inquiries promptly
- Assist clients with floor plans, creative processes, and day of event execution
- Ensure correct documentation and distribution from/to clients and vendors
- Manage finances throughout rental department
- Collaborate with internal departments on development events, sponsor events, and public programs
- Act as liaison between Cheekwood and outside vendors
- Negotiate vendor partnerships and contracts
- Maintain and strengthen vendor relationships and record contributions throughout the year
- Manage campus calendar for all meetings, public programming, and events
- Lead weekly logistics meetings and prepare event summaries
- Prepare weekly updates on weddings/events and potential revenue for COO
- Approve payrolls for rentals employees
- Hire, train, and supervise Event Managers and Coordinators
- Coordinate marketing efforts with Director of Marketing
- Attend networking and event conferences
- Maintain professional demeanor and adhere to company policies
- Represent customer service excellence aligned with Cheekwood brand
- Perform other duties as assigned
