The company operates across diverse sectors, offering a range of cutting-edge products and services that include cloud computing, artificial intelligence, productivity software, and hardware. Recognized for its commitment to growth, innovation, and collaboration, Microsoft supports a vibrant, inclusive work environment where employees can thrive and contribute to a shared vision of technological advancement and societal impact.

The role requires a balance of strategic insight, operational rigor, and the ability to manage organizational change within a complex and dynamic event ecosystem that delivers thousands of events annually, spanning multiple time zones, languages, geographies, and business objectives. This leadership position emphasizes talent development, establishing clear priorities and accountability, and fostering a culture of trust, inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement.

As a member of Microsoft’s leadership, the Director will champion the evolution of event experiences by integrating AI innovations, modern engagement models, and emerging technologies to deliver best-in-class digital and local events. The individual will be responsible for setting governance frameworks, driving operational excellence, and leveraging analytics and customer insights to optimize event impact and efficiency continually.

The Microsoft mission to empower every person and organization to achieve more serves as the foundation for this role. By embracing a growth mindset and collaborative spirit, the selected candidate will contribute meaningfully to Microsoft’s culture of inclusion and innovation, ensuring the event portfolio not only meets but exceeds business objectives and customer expectations. Compensation for this role varies by location, with a base pay range from $130,900 to $251,900 annually in the U.S., and higher in key metropolitan areas such as San Francisco Bay and New York City. Comprehensive benefits and additional compensation may also be available.
