Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in event management or hospitality roles such as banquet manager, hotel events coordinator, or restaurant/event director
  • Strong background in negotiation with vendors and contracts to optimize value and service quality
  • Demonstrated success in marketing events through targeted campaigns and strategic upselling techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of event planning processes including budgeting, catering coordination, banquet setup, and guest services
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, staff, and internal teams
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and time management capabilities
  • Familiarity with fundraising events or nonprofit functions is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of guest services, ensuring exceptional hospitality experiences from arrival to departure
  • Implement upselling techniques by promoting additional services such as catering upgrades, premium packages, or special amenities to maximize revenue
  • Manage a team of event staff, providing training in customer service excellence, safety protocols, and organizational procedures
  • Coordinate with hotel or venue operations teams to align on logistics such as catering, banquet setup, audiovisual needs, and accommodations
  • Monitor event progress in real-time, troubleshooting issues swiftly while maintaining high standards of service delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing post-event feedback and implementing best practices for future events
