The Director of Events & Catering at The Villa Casa Casuarina plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and elevating the guest experience through the comprehensive management of luxury event sales, catering operations, and event execution. This leadership position demands a dynamic professional capable of overseeing an array of sophisticated functions, from intimate private dinners to grand celebrity gatherings and exclusive property buyouts. Reporting directly to Executive Leadership, the Director collaborates closely with Culinary, Food & Beverage, Rooms, and Operations teams to ensure flawless coordination and delivery of each event. This role requires a strategic mindset to develop and implement annual sales strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation. The Director is also entrusted with cultivating a network of luxury wedding planners, destination management companies, corporate clients, and travel advisors to generate new business opportunities and foster repeat engagements.
Beyond sales and business development, the Director is responsible for the full lifecycle of event planning and execution. This includes conducting property tours and client site inspections, negotiating contracts, preparing detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and leading pre-conference meetings for large-scale or high-profile events. The successful candidate must demonstrate superior organizational and project management skills to handle multiple complex events simultaneously, ensuring that each event not only meets but exceeds client expectations.
Catering operations under the Director's supervision involve partnering with the Executive Chef to create customized menus that align with the property’s Forbes-level luxury standards. Monitoring staffing and labor costs, coordinating with rental and entertainment vendors, and overseeing audiovisual, floral, and transportation arrangements are critical elements of this role. Flexibility in schedule is essential, as the position requires availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the timing of exclusive events.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury event sales and catering management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
