Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of audio-visual experience
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Preferred 2 years of customer service or hospitality experience
  • Knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live event environment
  • Must complete Level 3 Skills training successfully
  • Proficient in computer hardware and software including Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Valid driver's license if required to operate company vehicles

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of audio-visual experience
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live show environment
  • Successful completion of Level 3 Skills training required
  • Proficiency with computer hardware
  • Proficiency with software including Internet and Microsoft Office
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Strong customer satisfaction focus
  • Valid driver's license if operating company vehicles

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at all organizational levels and provide outstanding customer service focusing on retention
  • Service events and act as a point of escalation when needed
  • Identify key issues and decision makers influencing contract renewal and leverage internal resources for planning renewals
  • Consult with venue sales leadership on sales strategies
  • Participate in business review presentations
  • Manage efficient and profitable operations focusing on revenue maximization and profitability through cost control
  • Achieve financial goals by managing labor, equipment sub-rentals, and other costs
  • Utilize operational and financial reports accurately and timely
  • Coordinate invoicing activities ensuring billing is reviewed and approved
  • Complete accurate and timely sales forecasts
  • Perform and direct daily floor operations including scheduling and equipment setups
  • Ensure timely delivery and proper functioning of equipment and services per client and venue specifications
  • Anticipate equipment challenges and communicate changes professionally
  • Maintain inventory control while ensuring safety, security, and quality assurance
  • Share labor and equipment efficiently within the local market
  • Attend operational venue meetings
  • Apply basic to advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for equipment and software issues
  • Utilize company computer systems effectively
  • Act as solo on-site technician if necessary
  • Create effective strategies to maximize revenue including upselling and cross-selling
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to convey value and solve customer challenges
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals promptly
  • Attend site visits and planning meetings to support customer events
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • Understand event cost structures and incorporate profitability guidelines
  • Maintain up-to-date customer information in CRM
  • Stay informed on new products, services, and emerging technologies
  • Deliver world-class service by cultivating relationships with customers and venue personnel
  • Oversee personnel assisting with event execution
  • Exceed expectations of internal and external customers
  • Meet with guests on-site to ensure needs are met and equipment is functioning
  • Monitor small venues and check on customers daily
  • Maintain a professional image and ensure team adherence to standards
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
  • Manage team performance, staffing, and development
  • Handle human resource activities including selection, performance management, and training
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training
  • Recommend training opportunities
  • Implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
