Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, marketing, or related area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, marketing, or related area
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets and forecast accurately
- Experience with high-profile events
- Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to train and provide feedback to staff
Job Qualifications

- Skilled in developing catering menus and vendor relationships

- Ability to lead meetings and support strategic initiatives
- Proficient in reviewing guest satisfaction data and implementing improvements
Job Duties
- Assigns all events turned over to Event Planning team
- Oversees function space and group room blocks for turned opportunities
- Communicates and executes departmental and property emergency procedures and ensures staff training
- Leads execution of activities to support event management strategy
- Reviews scheduled events with direct reports to troubleshoot challenges
- Leads discussions to review event complexity and avoid service failures
- Manages customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet needs
- Maintains inventories to maximize satisfaction and revenue
- Works with complex or high-profile groups for significant financial impact
- Leads catering menu development process
- Champions standards, policies, and procedures for event planning team
- Leads event management meetings
- Reviews guest satisfaction data and identifies improvement areas
- Shares plans with leadership for corrective actions
- Exemplifies excellent customer service and creates positive guest relations
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback
- Responds to and handles guest complaints
- Strives to improve service performance
- Empowers employees to provide excellent service
- Develops relationships with outside vendors and establishes agreements
- Consults customers to determine event requirements
- Establishes customer service guidelines
- Ensures ongoing employee training on guest expectations
