This full-time management position, located at 1601 Lake Robbins Dr, The Woodlands, Texas, offers an annual salary range of $116,000 to $156,000 with bonus eligibility and relocation assistance available. The role functions as the strategic business leader for Event Management, overseeing departments including Event Planning, Banquets/Catering, Event Service, and Event Technology. The position is responsible for developing and implementing departmental strategies aligned with the brand’s service initiatives and business goals. This leadership role ensures that all property events are executed seamlessly from sales through operational fulfillment and back to sales collaboration.
The Event Management leader cultivates a high-performing team that consistently meets the needs of the brand’s target customers and drives growth in event revenues while maximizing departmental financial performance. By leading cross-functional collaboration with culinary and operational teams, the leader ensures compliance with food-safety standards, operational readiness, and maintains the quality and maintenance of event spaces and equipment. They also oversee vendor relationships to enhance event experiences and generate incremental revenue. Strong focus is placed on delivering exceptional guest service by creating an inviting environment that exceeds expectations. The role includes managing budgets, troubleshooting event challenges, and ensuring that staffing levels support both guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Beyond operational excellence, the leader sets clear expectations, drives accountability for service behaviors, and communicates departmental goals transparently to align the team with business priorities. They integrate brand and regional initiatives into actionable plans and encourage innovation through calculated risk-taking to remain competitive in the market. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- 4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
- OR 2-year degree in relevant field
- 2 years related professional experience
- strong leadership skills

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major with 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
- proven leadership experience in managing event teams

Job Duties
- research and analyze new products, pricing and services of competition
- work with direct reports to review scheduled events and troubleshoot potential challenges or conflicts
- ensure the property is apprised of all groups that will impact property operations
- work with culinary team to ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- oversee event operations including banquets, event services and event technology
- oversee event planning team
- ensure meeting space and corresponding heart of the house areas are cleaned and maintained
