The Advancement Department at Nelson University plays a pivotal role in supporting the institution’s mission by engaging donors, alumni, and VIP guests through meaningful relationship-building that drives revenue generation and institutional growth. The position available is a full-time role based in Nelson, focused on advancing the university’s fundraising and donor engagement strategies. This role is integral in managing a donor pipeline through individualized engagement plans and high-touch stewardship, ensuring donors feel personally connected, valued, and informed about the university’s impact. The individual in this position will be responsible for coordinating hospitality efforts before, during, and after advancement events, maintaining accurate donor records within a CRM system, and supporting fundraising initiatives from preparation to execution and follow-up.

This position demands a high level of discretion, independent judgment, and professionalism as the candidate will be entrusted with sensitive donor interactions and financial stewardship decisions. Weekend and evening commitments, including participation in donor dinners and cultivation events, form an essential part of the role’s duties to guarantee successful fundraising outcomes. The role calls for a candidate with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills who can manage multiple projects with keen attention to detail.
