The role of Director of Dining Experience (Chef Manager) is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire culinary operation within the community. This position demands a high level of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and operational management to deliver an exceptional dining experience for residents. The Director of Dining Experience manages all aspects of the culinary department, including training and supervising department associates to ensure excellence in food preparation and service. This leadership role also involves maintaining accurate inventory levels of food, supplies, and kitchen equipment to support seamless kitchen operations.

Budget management is a vital component of the role, requiring the Director to manage expenses effectively while maintaining high-quality food and dining experiences. The Director is also responsible for preparing and serving food and refreshments, coordinating meal setups, catering special events, and ensuring cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations. This position plays a fundamental role in creating a gracious and welcoming dining atmosphere that contributes positively to the residents' overall well-being and satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Degree in Culinary Arts or Restaurant Service, preferred
  • Food Safety certification
  • Previous cooking experience in a similar environment
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to lead a team effectively
  • Physical ability to lift trays and move dining tables and furniture
  • Effective communication skills
  • Punctuality and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • Degree in Culinary Arts or Restaurant Service, preferred

Job Duties
