The position focuses on developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure major gifts, facilitate grassroots initiatives, and coordinate annual fundraising efforts. This role is integral in building and nurturing relationships with donors, foundations, and industry partners to provide sustained financial support to Ivy Tech Community College. Key responsibilities include planning and executing signature events such as Ivy Tech Day, the culinary event A Reason to Taste, the Chancellor's Merit Scholarship luncheon, and faculty/staff giving campaigns. Moreover, this role involves reimagining donor recognition events and collaborating with the grant development team to align funding opportunities with campus priorities. Candidates will be expected to maintain meticulous donor records using the Foundation's CRM system, coordinate stewardship activities for donor retention, and participate actively in statewide initiatives to enhance fundraising efficacy. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, securing gifts and sponsorships, prospect development, and event planning
- Proven experience cultivating and managing relationships with executive leaders, donors, and community partners
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Proficient with CRM and database management systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage fundraising events including those outside normal business hours
- Ability to travel as needed including evenings and weekends throughout Fort Wayne area, occasional travel statewide
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly, and support event logistics
- Demonstrated commitment to an inclusive and respectful environment
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and criminal history checks

- Proficient with CRM and database management systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working independently
- Ability to manage strategic fundraising events that may require attendance outside of normal business hours
- Ability to travel as needed including within the Fort Wayne service area and occasionally to other campuses
- Physically able to support event logistics and lift up to 30 pounds
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting a respectful and inclusive environment
Job Duties
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising portfolio by identifying and cultivating major gift prospects, foundations, and industry partners
- Plan and execute friend-raising and fundraising events that engage donors and raise funds for the College
- Reimagine and host Scholarship donor recognition event
- Strategize on funding opportunities in collaboration with the Director of Grant Development and Strategies
- Coordinate stewardship plans to strengthen donor engagement and retention
- Maintain accurate donor records in the Foundation's CRM system and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Participate actively in statewide Foundation initiatives to enhance overall fundraising effectiveness
