Residents enjoy restaurant-style meals prepared with care, quality, and nutrition in mind, ensuring every dining experience is delightful and satisfying. The facility emphasizes professional standards combined with compassionate service, making it a preferred choice in senior living hospitality. The culinary program is an integral part of the community's approach to enhancing the quality of life for its residents by offering diverse menus that cater to dietary needs and preferences while maintaining high standards for food safety and hygiene.
The role of Director of Culinary Services is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing daily kitchen operations, developing and mentoring the culinary team, and delivering an exceptional resident and guest dining experience. This role requires a dynamic leader who can effectively oversee staffing, scheduling, service execution, and quality control to ensure a seamless kitchen workflow. The Director will coordinate closely with on-site leadership and organizational support teams to align culinary goals with the broader community priorities. Maintaining consistency in recipes, elevating menus for special events, and ensuring strong food safety compliance are critical aspects of this position. The candidate will also be responsible for managing inventory, ordering supplies, and overseeing equipment maintenance to optimize costs and minimize waste while operating within budget constraints.
A key part of this role includes training, coaching, and developing culinary staff to reinforce safety, cleanliness, and food handling protocols, ensuring the highest standards are met consistently. The Director of Culinary Services must have excellent communication skills, be adaptable to a flexible schedule, and possess experience in managing high-volume kitchen environments. With at least two years of kitchen management experience and over five years of high-volume cooking expertise, the ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to quality and resident satisfaction. This role offers an opportunity to lead a passionate culinary team in a vibrant senior living community dedicated to hospitality and culinary excellence, contributing directly to the health and happiness of its residents.
