Job Description

The hiring establishment is a prestigious private club renowned for delivering exceptional experiences to its members. With a strong focus on hospitality, the club boasts multiple dining outlets, banquet facilities, and an array of member events and programming. Esteemed for its high-touch, member-driven environment, the club operates with a commitment to excellence, ensuring every interaction upholds the highest standards of service and quality. It is a distinguished institution where tradition meets innovation, creating a vibrant community for its members while maintaining a welcoming and exclusive atmosphere.

The role of Director of Clubhouse Operations is positioned as a senior executive leadership role reporting directly to the General Manager. This hands-on leadership position centers on overseeing all Food and Beverage operations within the clubhouse, including culinary services, beverage management, member dining, banquet functions, and member-driven events. Unlike a generalist operations role, the Director of Clubhouse Operations is deeply focused on enhancing and elevating the Food & Beverage experience consistently across all outlets.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, this role requires visible daily floor leadership to directly influence service delivery, operational performance, and team cohesion. The Director provides strategic and operational oversight over multiple departmental leaders, including the Director of Sales & Events, Director of Marketing & Membership, Executive Chef, Beverage Manager, and Food & Beverage Managers for banquet and restaurant operations. This leadership fosters alignment between programming, execution, marketing, and member engagement efforts to create a seamless, high-quality clubhouse experience.

Success in this position is measured by the Director’s ability to build and maintain robust operational structures, systems, accountability frameworks, and performance disciplines within the Food & Beverage departments. They are expected to lead, coach, and develop management teams, ensuring excellence in everyday operations and innovative member programming that elevates the clubhouse offerings. The role demands decisive leadership, especially when making personnel or operational decisions that impact long-term growth and sustainability.

Candidates must demonstrate proven success in managing large, complex multi-outlet Food & Beverage operations and have experience leading leaders in a sophisticated hospitality environment. Experience in private clubs or similarly high-touch, member-centric settings is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate combines strategic clarity with operational rigor, maintains strong professional relationships across executive peers, and champions a mentoring culture focused on developing emerging leadership talent within the team.

Compensation for this senior role includes a competitive base salary ranging from $135,000 to $165,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and a performance-based bonus of 10% of the base salary. The club offers a comprehensive benefits package typical of high-end private clubs, supporting the overall well-being and professional growth of its leadership team. This role is a compelling opportunity for disciplined hospitality operators committed to operational excellence, strong emotional intelligence, and an engaging, floor-driven leadership style.
