Ziosk is currently seeking a highly experienced Director of Cloud Platform Engineering to join its Engineering department at the Plano, TX onsite location. This leadership position entails spearheading the design, development, and delivery of Ziosk's modern cloud payment gateway and native cloud integration layers that facilitate seamless connectivity with contemporary Point of Sale (POS) platforms. The role demands a strategic thinker with deep expertise in cloud-native, distributed systems, and a strong understanding of payment systems, security standards, and compliance requirements such as PCI.

The Director will be responsible for overseeing engineering operations that ensure on-time delivery, scalability, security, high availability, and fault tolerance of Ziosk’s cloud applications and infrastructure. This includes mentoring senior engineers, architects, and managers while enforcing rigorous engineering standards for code quality, testing, and secure software development. A key aspect of the role involves championing the responsible adoption of AI technologies to enhance engineering productivity, software quality, and operational insights while maintaining strict security measures.

In addition to driving engineering excellence, the Director will translate complex business goals related to POS integration, cloud adoption, and revenue enablement into actionable engineering roadmaps. Effective communication with executive leadership about architectural tradeoffs, delivery risks, and investment needs is essential. This role combines technical proficiency with strategic vision and leadership skills to propel Ziosk's cloud platform to new heights, supporting the company’s mission to transform the restaurant experience.
