With 319 newly redesigned rooms, the hotel offers modern accommodations complemented by amenities such as an award-winning restaurant with an extensive outdoor patio boasting sweeping city views and over 28,000 square feet of meeting space. The role of Director of Catering and Events at the Hilton Motif Seattle is a senior leadership position responsible for driving exceptional event experiences while fostering an engaged, high-performing team environment. This position requires strategic vision, innovative event management, and a strong commitment to service excellence aligned with Hilton's core values. The Director will work closely with the General Manager and the Executive Committee to ensure events achieve business goals, maintain superior guest service standards, and exceed expectations through creative and impactful event delivery.
As Director of Catering and Events, you will lead all aspects of the hotel's event operations, including managing over 28,000 square feet of event and meeting space in a vibrant city setting. You will champion continuous process improvements, oversee supplier and vendor relationships, and manage budgets to ensure financial success. This role demands a dynamic leader who actively engages with team members, sales teams, external clients, and suppliers to maintain Hilton's reputation for outstanding hospitality.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field
- minimum five years hospitality experience at management level
- at least one year of hotel management leadership experience
- ability to travel up to 10 percent
- proficiency with hotel property management systems
- strong analytical and financial skills
- excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- effective conflict resolution skills
- commitment to Hilton's values and culture
Job Qualifications
- Minimum five years hospitality-related experience at manager level
- minimum one year leadership experience in hotel management
- knowledge of hotel property management systems such as Delphi.fdc
- significant experience in revenue management or related analytical roles
- relevant degree in business development or related field
- certified meeting professional (CMP) or certified professional catering executive (CPCE) designation preferred
- strong leadership and team-building skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- understanding of financial management and budgeting
- ability to innovate and improve event delivery processes
