Job Description

Hilton is a globally renowned hospitality company that has set industry standards with its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a historic leader in the hotel and lodging industry, Hilton operates a diverse portfolio of world-class brands, spanning luxury to focused service hotels across more than 100 countries and territories. Hilton's dedication to hospitality excellence is reflected not only in the quality of its lodging and services but also in its efforts to maintain an inclusive, supportive, and award-winning workplace culture for its Team Members. The company’s vision focuses on filling the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality, ensuring every guest's stay is memorable and every Team Member's experience is fulfilling.

The role of Director of Catering & Events at Hilton is a critical leadership position within the hotel’s operational framework. This position carries the responsibility of providing strategic direction, operational leadership, and expert guidance across all catering and event functions. The Director is the key driver of memorable event experiences that align with Hilton's standards and guest-centric values, shaping both the perception and success of large-scale events and meetings hosted by the property.

In this role, the Director of Catering & Events leads high-visibility operations, collaborating across multiple internal departments including sales, food and beverage, and guest services, as well as engaging with external stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution. The position demands a forward-looking perspective, requiring the incumbent to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices, representing Hilton in professional associations and helping the property maintain competitive advantage through innovation and excellence.

Financial stewardship is another essential aspect of the role. The Director oversees budgets, forecasts future needs, manages costs responsibly, and optimizes utilization of staffing and resources without compromising service quality or guest satisfaction. Operating with a mindset of ownership and accountability, this leader models Hilton’s core values — hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a sense of urgency — creating a workplace culture that encourages high performance, diversity, and strong team engagement.

Hilton supports its Team Members by investing in their wellbeing and growth, offering an attractive suite of benefits such as discounted travel, stock purchase opportunities, paid parental leave, personalized caregiving support, mental health resources, generous paid time off, and comprehensive health and welfare plans. This support system empowers the Director of Catering & Events to focus on delivering extraordinary experiences while advancing their professional career.

Joining Hilton means becoming part of an award-winning workplace culture recognized repeatedly on the World’s Best Workplaces lists by Great Place to Work and Fortune. Whether starting a career or seeking to advance in hospitality management, team members benefit from Hilton’s commitment to their development and engagement. The Director of Catering & Events role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment where strategic leadership and passion for hospitality combine to create unmatched experiences for guests and team alike. The position is a full-time leadership role, promising a fulfilling career path with a company dedicated to workforce diversity, innovation, and excellence in service.
