Job Description

Stonebridge is a distinguished hospitality management company known for operating a portfolio of premier hotel properties across the United States. With a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences, Stonebridge focuses on quality service, operational excellence, and cultivating strong community relationships. The company is recognized for fostering a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture, promoting career development, and offering comprehensive benefits to its employees. As Stonebridge continues to expand its portfolio, it welcomes new properties that embody its dedication to hospitality excellence and community engagement.

One of Stonebridge's newest additions is a full-service hotel property in Seattle, Washington. This property is set to become a vibrant venue for both local and visiting clientele, offering state-of-the-art amenities, elegant event spaces, and a focus on personalized service. The hotel aims to serve a diverse range of events—from corporate meetings and conferences to social gatherings and celebrations—making it an essential destination within the Seattle hospitality scene.

The Director of Catering role at this new full-service property is a key leadership position within the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the Director of Catering will oversee the Property Sales Department with a primary focus on increasing the hotel's revenue through the solicitation, management, and execution of catering business. This full-time, exempt position offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $120,000 and demands a professional who is proactive, customer-focused, and adept in sales and event management.

The Director of Catering is entrusted with managing all aspects of catering operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality, profitable events. Responsibilities include developing innovative sales and marketing strategies to attract new business, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring contract fulfillment. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, audio-visual, and culinary departments, to guarantee seamless execution of catered functions.

This position is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure. The Director of Catering must also be adept in using event management software and CRM systems to oversee bookings and generate reports that support sales activities and operational planning.

The role includes frequent client engagement, both in networking scenarios with local civic groups and in managing detailed communications such as banquet event orders (BEOs) and forecasting reports. Additionally, the Director of Catering will often be present at events to ensure that all logistics and service standards are meticulously met.

Working primarily in indoor event and office spaces, the Director of Catering will experience an active work environment that involves walking, standing, and occasional lifting of event materials up to 20 pounds. Flexibility in working hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential based on event scheduling demands.

Stonebridge prides itself on equal employment opportunity and is committed to fostering a diverse workforce without discrimination. The company ensures reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities, supporting an inclusive culture that values each team member's contribution. Employees can expect to benefit from comprehensive support programs including health insurance, retirement plans with matching, wellness initiatives, and professional growth opportunities.

Overall, the Director of Catering at Stonebridge's new Seattle property will play an instrumental role in building and sustaining the hotel's catering business, driving profitability, and enhancing the guest experience in a thriving hospitality market. This position is ideal for a motivated, resourceful professional wanting to contribute to a growing team within a reputable management company.
