Job Description
The Meritage Resort & Spa, part of the esteemed Pacific Hospitality Group, represents a premium hospitality destination committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences, enriched by a strong foundation of family values and principled entrepreneurship. Pacific Hospitality Group prides itself on its unique owner/operator approach that focuses on long-term holds, enabling sustainable business growth while fostering the development and success of its team members. This thoughtful strategy supports a company culture that emphasizes value creation, integrity, and respect, making it a highly desirable place to work within the hospitality industry. The group is dedicated to enriching people’s lives by offering memorable experiences, contributing to communities, and honoring God in all aspects of operations and interactions.
Within this luxurious and vibrant environment, the role of Director of Brand Marketing is essential. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $130,000 to $165,000, reflecting the strategic and leadership responsibilities involved. The Director of Brand Marketing at The Meritage Resort & Spa acts as the on-property steward of the hotel’s brand identity and marketing narrative, ensuring that every guest engagement reflects the high standards and unique story of the property. This specialist serves as the critical liaison between the hotel property and the home office marketing team, bridging communications and ensuring smooth coordination and deployment of marketing initiatives to enhance guest experience and commercial outcomes.
The position requires a passionate brand ambassador who can maintain the consistent expression of the hotel’s brand across various guest touchpoints including food and beverage, spa, rooms, events, and sales efforts. The Director ensures alignment of brand storytelling with guest experiences, helping local teams convey a cohesive and authentic message that resonates with both traditional and digital audiences. Additionally, this role focuses on content capture—through photography, video, and influencer collaborations—to create compelling assets that drive engagement across social, email, and other marketing channels managed by the central office.
Project management is another vital facet of the role, requiring the incumbent to oversee timelines, deliverables, and coordination between departments while ensuring operational readiness for marketing campaigns and activations. Serving as a strategic partner to the revenue team, the Director analyzes booking trends and opportunities to creatively convert interest into bookings and ancillary revenue. The role also champions the hotel’s Stay Golden loyalty program, ensuring a differentiated, curated experience that aligns with both the brand and the destination.
Local community engagement and partnerships further extend the Director’s influence beyond the hotel, building meaningful collaborations with local businesses, tourism boards, and community organizations to expand brand presence and foster guest engagement through co-marketing efforts and events. This position maintains a high level of communication and collaboration with the home office marketing leadership, providing timely updates, insights, and feedback to inform ongoing strategy and campaign adjustments.
Success in this role is measured by the timely and accurate deployment of marketing initiatives, the generation of high-quality content, and the seamless coordination of cross-departmental marketing inputs. The position requires a balance of creative vision, operational precision, and strong interpersonal skills to influence and impact the broad spectrum of teams and partners involved.
Overall, the Director of Brand Marketing at The Meritage Resort & Spa embodies a vital leadership role responsible for elevating the hotel’s brand, enhancing guest experiences, and supporting sustainable business growth in a luxury lifestyle hospitality setting where community, culture, and high standards converge.
