Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 years managing employees in related environment
  • At least 2 years experience in wine or beverage service or high-volume bar operations
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Experience with beverage products, menu items, equipment, and POS systems
  • Ability to optimize staffing and labor costs
  • Flexibility for varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 4 years of experience managing employees in a similar environment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in wine or beverage service and/or high-volume bar operations
  • Complete knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Strong understanding of beverage products, menu items, equipment, and Point of Sale systems
  • Ability to establish staffing guidelines to optimize efficiency and labor costs
  • Excellent beverage preparation and presentation skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal skills for guest, management, employee, and external engagement

Job Duties

  • Provide direction and leadership to the beverage and cocktails team consistent with MGM brand
  • Lead beverage management team to achieve operational and financial goals of each venue
  • Monitor performance, scheduling, and training of beverage staff
  • Maintain beverage facilities according to MGM service standards
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and exceptional guest experience
  • Oversee development and monitoring of beverage operations, budgets, guest service standards, and marketing strategies
  • Establish par levels for supplies, liquor, beer, wine, and equipment and manage requisitions
  • Implement policies, operating procedures, training programs, directives, menus, work schedules, rules, and regulations for beverage staff
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, wines, designated glassware, garnishes, menu items, preparation methods, and presentation
  • Maintain highest standards of health, sanitation, and cleanliness
  • Comply with state liquor regulations prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated persons
  • Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, and coach beverage staff
  • Drive employee engagement through coaching and development
