Hacienda Del Sol Resort is currently seeking an experienced and highly organized Director of Banquets to lead and oversee all banquet operations at their Tucson property. This leadership role is critical to ensuring the flawless execution of diverse events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations. The Director of Banquets will be responsible for orchestrating all aspects of banquet event planning and coordination, supervising banquet staff, and collaborating closely with other departments including culinary, sales, and general resort management. This role requires an individual with excellent organizational and communication skills who can manage multiple functions simultaneously while delivering outstanding guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will also handle budgeting, inventory control, health and safety compliance, and will play a key role in building strong client relationships to exceed expectations. Job Requirements
- Proven experience in banquet management or related hospitality leadership role
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and inventory control
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Knowledge of banquet operations, health and safety standards, and event planning software
- Proven training and computer skills with ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time and the ability to work indoors and outdoors
Job Qualifications

- Proven training and computer skills with ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with MICROS and Opera is a plus
Job Duties
- Plan, organize, and execute all banquet events including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties
- Manage banquet staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate closely with culinary team, sales department, and other resort staff to ensure successful event delivery
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and exceed expectations
- Monitor budgets, manage inventory, and ensure profitability of banquet operations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Continuously improve banquet services by gathering guest feedback and implementing effective solutions
