This opportunity is to join the esteemed Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street Boston as the Director of Banquets. This is a prestigious role that invites an individual passionate about hospitality and excellence to lead the banquet operations team. The Director of Banquets is responsible for the seamless planning, execution, and management of all banquet events, ensuring that each function reflects the signature quality and attention to detail for which Four Seasons is known. This role requires a strong leader who is adept at coordinating with Food & Beverage and Sales & Catering teams to create memorable, personalized banquet experiences. The candidate will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction while optimizing operational efficiency.
The position requires a minimum of three years of management experience in high-end food and beverage operations, with a preference for candidates with banquet experience. A college degree in hotel or restaurant management or equivalent experience is required. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a solid understanding of food and beverage service, cost and labor controls, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting principles. Certifications such as Food Handler and Tips Certification are mandatory. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, and the ability to operate various food and beverage computer systems are essential.
