As a company committed to innovation and high service standards, JSX stands out in the aviation industry by prioritizing both operational excellence and a strong workplace culture. The company prides itself on being a lifestyle employer where entrepreneurship meets determination, fostering opportunities for growth, innovation, and success among its team members.
The Director of Airport Operations at JSX holds a critical leadership role responsible for strategizing and overseeing the airport operations across the entire JSX network. This high-impact position ensures that each station not only meets safety and reliability requirements but also delivers a consistently premium customer experience, reflecting JSX's unique brand standards. The director provides guidance and support to station leaders, driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational discipline across airport locations. Focusing on operational metrics such as on-time performance, baggage handling, safety compliance, and hospitality standards, this role demands a strategic mindset balanced with hands-on operational management.
In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the Director plays a pivotal role in managing financial aspects such as labor efficiency and expense control to align with business objectives. They maintain strong partnerships with airport authorities, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure contract compliance and exceptional service delivery. This role also leads critical activities during irregular operations, coordinating cross-functional teams to minimize disruptions for both customers and crewmembers.
The ideal candidate will excel at leadership and development, coaching airport operations leaders, fostering accountability, engagement, and succession planning. The Director collaborates closely with departments including Training, Safety, Finance, Flight Operations, and Commercial to harmonize company strategies and operational execution. This role requires a willingness to travel frequently—up to 70%—and work flexible hours to respond promptly to operational needs. JSX offers a competitive compensation range of $115,500 to $144,400 annually and provides numerous benefits designed to support the well-being and professional growth of its employees.
Joining JSX as the Director of Airport Operations is an opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly expanding airline network that values operational excellence and unparalleled customer service. It is a role for a seasoned, strategic professional who thrives on innovating in fast-paced environments and inspiring high-performing teams toward success.
