Job Description

K-LOVE is a prominent nonprofit multi-platform media company dedicated to drawing people closer to Christ through its various outreach initiatives. Established in 1982 in Santa Rosa, CA, K-LOVE began as a single radio station and has since grown into the operator of the nation's two largest Christian music radio networks, K-LOVE and Air1. Today, the organization boasts over 1,000 broadcast signals across all 50 states, streaming audio that reaches a global audience, and a diversified portfolio of media ministries, including podcasts, books, films, concerts, and special events. With nearly 500 employees spread between its Nashville, TN office and field locations nationwide, K-LOVE maintains a strong presence both culturally and in the community, driven by its mission to create meaningful spiritual connections.

The role of the Director of Activations is pivotal in representing the core values and mission of K-LOVE and Air1 within the live events domain. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Live Events & Underwriting, the Director provides visionary leadership in both developing and executing strategic regional and event-centric plans that bring the Ministry's mission to life. This person will spearhead innovative and impactful activations designed to cultivate audience engagement, inspire partnerships, and reinforce the brand identity with excellence and a purposeful approach for every live event experience. Whether working on small community gatherings or large-scale concerts and broadcasts, the Director ensures every detail and moment facilitates moments that move people closer to Jesus.

This role demands a leader who balances creativity, collaboration, and spiritual integrity while managing and mentoring a team of event and live event specialists. Key responsibilities involve managing multi-market touring programs, street team operations, and immersive brand experiences at concerts, festivals, and major gatherings. Additionally, the Director maintains and nurtures relationships with industry stakeholders such as concert promoters, artists’ management, festival owners, and promotional partners to advance the overall Ministry goals. The position also involves overseeing national activation budgets, vendor contracts, equipment logistics, and the meticulous tracking of performance metrics, audience engagement, and sponsorship deliverables.

This is an in-office position based in Franklin, TN, and requires a commitment to the organization’s core values. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and training
  • 8-10 years of experience in marketing, live events and promotions
  • 5 years minimum leadership experience
  • proficiency in organizing live events preferably in the radio, faith based or music industry
  • ability to develop and manage strategic partnerships
  • competence in budget management, vendor contracting and timeline oversight
  • experience in sponsorship deliverables and event execution processes

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education/training with relevant experience
  • minimum 8-10 years’ experience in marketing, live events and promotions
  • minimum 5 years’ leadership experience managing a team or people
  • experience in organizing and executing live events preferably within the radio industry or alternatively from a faith based or music industry
  • ability to develop strategic partners to further promotion and events of the Ministry and mission
  • demonstrated ability to build and manage budgets, vendor contracts and timelines
  • history of developing and executing sponsorship deliverables for major brand partners
  • experience building operational processes, training systems and SOPs for event execution
  • strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • a collaborative and flexible style with a strong service mentality
  • excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/Ministry relationships
  • demonstrated commitment to the social sector with a passion for mission and values

Job Duties

  • Successfully lead a team of event and live event staff to ensure strategy across all markets
