As the Director Nursing Emergency Services at St. Bernardine Medical Center, you will play an integral leadership role in overseeing the emergency care operations within the hospital. This pivotal position involves the strategic planning, implementation, and coordination of emergency services across a 24-bed Emergency Room (ER) with an average daily census of 240 patients. In addition, you will manage two urgent care centers and a transitional care clinic, ensuring seamless continuity of care across these fast-paced settings. Your responsibilities will include directing day-to-day operations, collaborating with senior leadership on key initiatives, and working closely with frontline leaders to uphold high standards of patient care. This role requires exceptional leadership and communication skills, as you will advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators on matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and organizational strategies. Communication of the organization's goals to your team is essential to foster a culture focused on enhancing patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in managing emergency services in medium to large hospitals, be competent and confident, with proficiency in individual and group communication. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience
- Master's degree in nursing or related field
- Minimum of three years nursing experience
- Minimum of two years leadership experience
- Registered Nursing License in CA
- Basic Life Support certification
