The role of Director, MICE/Group, Worldwide Sales, at BWH Hotels is a high-profile leadership position responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for the company's global MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) sales organization. This role focuses on driving revenue growth and maximizing return on investment through the management and expansion of relationships with preferred partner intermediary clients. The individual in this position will lead critical business development initiatives, partnership strategies, and performance optimization efforts to meet and exceed organizational sales and revenue goals.

As a key member of the executive sales team, the Director will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities by guiding a high-performing sales team dedicated to customer and partner engagement. The role demands the development and execution of a cohesive global strategy for 3rd party intermediary partnerships, involving comprehensive competitive market analysis, evaluation of the company's market positioning, and identification of new strategic business opportunities. Integral to this role is the responsibility to align brand and property goals with business activation requirements, promotional strategies, and partner commitments to ensure consistent revenue contribution and efficiency.

Operational and financial accountability is a vital aspect of the Director’s responsibilities, overseeing team budgets and monitoring financial targets including key performance indicators and revenue contributions across all preferred partner accounts. Effective partnership management is achieved by establishing and maintaining executive-level relationships with crucial third-party partners while identifying and cultivating new business opportunities aligned with BWH Hotels' objectives.

In addition, the Director will ensure robust hotelier engagement through education concerning marketplace dynamics and partner program expectations, hosting representation at prominent industry events to solidify BWH Hotels’ market presence and credibility. The ability to leverage AI tools, industry data, and insights to analyze trends and optimize sales strategies will be a significant contributor to success in this role.

This position demands a seasoned professional with at least a decade of experience in the hospitality or travel industry, strong leadership skills with a history of managing global sales teams, and a proven track record in developing effective partnership strategies. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hotel Administration, or a related field is required or equivalent experience considered. The successful candidate must possess strong communication, analytical, financial, and relationship management skills along with the capability to navigate organizational dynamics and collaborate cross-functionally.

Arizona-based candidates will work a hybrid schedule with onsite presence at the Global Operations Center in Phoenix three days a week and remote flexibility for two days. Up to 50% travel may be required.
