This commitment reinforces the values of safety, trust, and collaboration that are essential in managing sensitive and valuable resources.

The Director of Lean Operations role at Brink's is a pivotal and strategic position responsible for spearheading the company's enterprise-wide transformation towards operational excellence. The Director will be instrumental in instilling a culture of Lean thinking across all organizational levels and functions, ensuring that Lean strategies are seamlessly integrated into everyday operations.

The Director will serve as a key partner to operational leaders, delivering coaching, defining performance expectations, and elevating leadership capabilities in Lean practices. They will facilitate regional Kaizen events and improvement workshops that target high-impact areas, driving tangible improvements in workflow, service delivery, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, standardizing best practices across multiple sites and business units is a crucial responsibility to ensure scalability and sustainability of operational excellence.

Training and development are at the heart of this role, requiring the design and delivery of comprehensive Lean workshops to cross-functional teams, ensuring a widespread and consistent adoption of Lean principles throughout Operations, Administration, and Line of Business functions. The Director must also keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and global best practices to innovate continuously and maintain Brink's competitive edge.

Crucially, the role involves integrating the Voice of the Customer into Lean initiatives, ensuring that customer feedback directly informs operational improvements and responsiveness. Managing strategic programs focusing on production planning, logistics routing, resource optimization, and workforce deployment further highlights the role's complexity and integral contribution to overall business success.

The ideal candidate for this visionary leadership position will have at least 10 years of progressive experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence roles, preferably in multi-site operations or the logistics industry. A bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field is required. Certification as a Brink's Bronze or Silver Lean Leader is highly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional communication skills, strong influence and collaboration abilities, a data-driven mindset, and the resilience to lead change in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
