The Director of Interior Design role at Baptist Health is a leadership position with enterprise-wide impact, responsible for guiding the interior design strategy across hospitals, ambulatory care sites, and administrative facilities. This role establishes and maintains design standards, ensures brand integration within physical spaces, and aligns design solutions with clinical operations to enhance patient care environments and staff efficiency. The Director oversees both internal interior design teams and external consultants, delivering cohesive, high-quality, and code-compliant environments that support the organization’s mission and long-term asset performance.
This position offers an estimated salary range of $129,932.84 to $168,912.69 annually, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives that incorporate evidence-based design principles to improve patient outcomes and staff workflows, manage multi-site design portfolios with significant budgets, and apply expert knowledge of relevant codes and regulations. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 10 years of interior design experience
- At least 5 years in healthcare or institutional settings
- Minimum 3 years in director or management role
- Licensure as a Registered Interior Designer (RID) preferred
- NCIDQ certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in key design software including Revit and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of FGI, ADA, NFPA, and Florida code requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Job Qualifications

- Familiarity with sustainability certifications
