Baptist Health is deeply rooted in a faith-based mission of medical excellence and is supported by philanthropy, ensuring its continued growth and ability to serve diverse communities with compassion and expertise.
For 26 years, Baptist Health has been honored as one of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For, a testament to its commitment to employee satisfaction and professional development. These accolades underscore the organization's dedication to delivering superior patient care through innovative practices and a supportive work environment.
What truly distinguishes Baptist Health is its people-centered approach. The organization places immense value on creating personal connections among colleagues that transcend the conventional workplace dynamic. Furthermore, Baptist Health fosters meaningful relationships with patients and their families, emphasizing empathy, trust, and individualized care. Many team members have experienced healthcare challenges firsthand, fueling a genuine commitment to compassion and quality across all services.
The organizational culture at Baptist Health is deeply rooted in purpose, with every team member playing a pivotal role in making a positive impact within the community. This purpose-driven environment encourages employees to embrace their roles fully, ensuring that caring for people remains the core mission of every action and decision.
Baptist Health is also profoundly committed to supporting its employees throughout their career journeys. The organization follows a 'grow our own' philosophy, designed to help team members cultivate meaningful and lasting careers with ample opportunities for advancement. This commitment extends beyond professional growth to encompass comprehensive health and wellness resources that support employees' personal well-being. Numerous benefits are provided, including career development opportunities, a wellness program aimed at reducing medical plan deductibles, and tuition reimbursement to facilitate continuous learning. These initiatives demonstrate Baptist Health's holistic approach to employee care, ensuring that staff are well-equipped and supported to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
The role of Development Director for Events at Baptist Health Foundation is integral to the organization's philanthropic and community engagement efforts. This includes organizing large-scale fundraisers, managing donor prospect identification and cultivation, coordinating donor-recognition events, campaign activities, and supporting third-party fundraisers.
A key aspect of this role involves developing and motivating committee members and volunteers, ensuring their active involvement and accountability. The Development Director leads a dedicated events team in crafting effective strategies to meet organizational goals. Serving as the primary staff liaison for the Board Events Committee Chair, the Director plays a crucial role in aligning volunteer efforts with the Foundation's mission.
Additionally, the Development Director collaborates with the senior management team to enhance prospect portfolios through community engagement and follow-up activities, working closely with corporate relations staff to guarantee sponsorship fulfillment. A significant responsibility is mentoring and coaching event staff to view community participants as potential donor prospects, thereby broadening the organization's fundraising base and sustaining long-term relationships.
The position offers an estimated salary range of $122,475.25 to $159,217.83 annually, commensurate with experience. This role not only demands expertise in event management and volunteer leadership but also calls for a passion for philanthropy and community service, reflecting Baptist Health's broader mission of making a difference in people’s lives.
