The role under consideration is a leadership position within the food and nutrition services departments of Penrose - St. Francis Health Services. The successful candidate will plan, administer, and direct all food service operations across the location with a clear focus on financial accountability, compliance with corporate standards set by CommonSpirit Health, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Operating in a dynamic and supportive team environment, this position emphasizes the importance of collaborative relationships with other departments to deliver a seamless and unified food and nutrition (dietary) experience for patients, residents, visitors, and employees alike. The leader will oversee daily food service management, implementing staff training programs, ensuring policy and procedure compliance, and sustaining high-quality food service operations. Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years hospital nutrition management experience or three years of high-volume food service management experience or a combination totaling three years of management experience
  • Registered Dietitian or Certified Dietary Manager within 24 months
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification upon hire
  • ServSafe Allergen (ServSafe Gen) certification within 60 days

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years hospital nutrition management experience or three years of high-volume food service management experience or a combination totaling three years of management experience
  • Registered Dietitian or Certified Dietary Manager within 24 months
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification upon hire
  • ServSafe Allergen (ServSafe Gen) certification within 60 days
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field or three years equivalent education and experience in lieu of degree

Job Duties

  • Plan, administer and direct all location activities related to food service including financial accountability
  • Ensure compliance with standards established by CommonSpirit Health and regulatory agencies
  • Lead food and nutrition services departments effectively
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments
  • Provide a unified food and nutrition (dietary) service experience for patients, residents, visitors and employees
  • Manage the daily operations of food services
  • Implement training programs for dietary staff
  • Assure that established policies and procedures are maintained
