Job Description
FirstService Residential is a leading property management company that specializes in providing professional association management services to over 9,000 residential communities across the United States and Canada. Renowned for its commitment to exceptional service and associate growth, the company cultivates a positive and inclusive workplace culture, supported by its Great Place to Work certification. FirstService Residential employs approximately 19,000 associates and offers competitive salaries alongside comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits. Dedicated to career development, the company provides continuous training and professional growth opportunities, making it a top choice for career-minded professionals seeking to impact the property management industry positively.
The role of Director of Food and Beverage - West Region is a pivotal leadership position within FirstService Residential, providing strategic oversight and operational management of food and beverage (F&B) programs throughout the managed communities across the western United States. This position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $140,000 to $150,000 annually, plus a 15% bonus, emphasizing the value the company places on this role.
As the Director of Food and Beverage, the successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with association boards, developers, and on-site management teams to elevate the resident experience through outstanding food and beverage services. The role involves the development and implementation of best practices, operational improvements, and standard operating procedures that drive revenue growth, profitability, and financial accountability. The director will support community growth initiatives, oversee talent acquisition and development, and provide hands-on operational assistance as needed to ensure consistent performance and exceptional service across all properties.
Key responsibilities include driving additional food and beverage revenues, managing profit and loss accountability according to operating budgets, and leading customer service enhancements. The director will create detailed implementation plans to support the execution of food and beverage programs, products, pricing, and menus, collaborating closely with stakeholders. Additionally, the director will conduct evaluations, present strategic recommendations, and assist with growth and sales processes for communities with food and beverage operations.
The role requires flexibility to work onsite regularly, covering property position deficits, and adhering strictly to global service standards. It demands an individual with excellent leadership, financial acumen, and communication skills, capable of working effectively across multiple communities in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, or Colorado. The position entails approximately 75% travel, including evenings and weekends, to attend property events and provide direct support.
FirstService Residential also emphasizes a strong safety culture and compliance with all company policies and procedures. The work environment consists mainly of office settings, but physical mobility, the ability to lift up to 25lbs, and the capacity to stand or sit for extended periods are occasional job requirements. The company supports its associates with a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision plans, 401K match, tuition reimbursement, and more. This vital role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned food and beverage professional looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic and supportive company.
