The Food and Beverage Manager role at Callaway Resort & Gardens is a strategic leadership position that involves overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage operations. This role is critical to enhancing the guest experience by providing exceptional culinary offerings and outstanding service. The manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan for food and beverage services aligned with the resort's business objectives. Day-to-day management duties include budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and staffing. The role demands leadership in hiring, training, and motivating a diverse team of food and beverage professionals such as chefs, cooks, servers, and bartenders.

Key responsibilities also involve building strong relationships with local suppliers to ensure the resort uses the highest quality products. Collaboration with other departments, such as sales and marketing, is essential to coordinate food and beverage offerings for various events and special occasions. The manager must ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies. Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in food and beverage management with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a large team
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of current trends and innovations in food and beverage operations
  • Experience managing budgets and forecasting financial performance
  • Strong customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for food and beverage operations to meet business objectives and enhance the guest experience
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department including budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and staffing
  • Hire, train, and motivate a high-performing team of food and beverage professionals including chefs, cooks, servers, and bartenders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to ensure the highest quality products are used
  • Work closely with other departments such as sales and marketing to coordinate food and beverage offerings for events and special occasions
