Within this exciting context, the role of Director of Events & Partnerships plays a pivotal role in shaping Stoke Space's corporate identity, industry reputation, and strategic communications. The Director of Events & Partnerships will lead the planning and execution of high-profile events that reinforce Stoke's presence among investors, partners, and the broader space community. This senior position requires close collaboration with executive leadership to amplify key messaging and foster strong relationships with C-suite executives, investors, government partners, and other vital stakeholders. The role demands a proactive, self-directed individual who can operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to new challenges. By strategically managing award nominations, speaking engagements, and sponsorship opportunities, the Director ensures that Stoke Space remains visible and influential within the commercial space ecosystem. The role also involves working closely with the Brand & Marketing team to maintain communication alignment across all external platforms, ensuring a cohesive corporate image. Measuring and reporting on the impact of events and partnerships is key to refining the company's outreach strategies and maximizing stakeholder engagement. Stoke offers competitive compensation with salary ranges from $79,380 to $165,375 depending on experience, along with equity options and comprehensive benefits, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute meaningfully to the future of space exploration and commercialization.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience in marketing event management partnership development or corporate communications
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Excellent project management skills with attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
  • Knowledge of the space industry ecosystem
  • Must be a U.S. citizen lawful permanent resident or eligible to obtain U.S. Department of State export authorizations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable engaging with executive leadership and key stakeholders

Job Qualifications

  • Past work in the space industry
  • 7+ years of experience in some mix of marketing event management partnership development and/or corporate communications
  • Proven track record of planning and executing high-profile events
  • Strong relationship management skills with C-suite executives and key stakeholders
  • Exceptional project management abilities with attention to detail and budget consciousness
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with aerospace investors and government partners
  • Background in public relations or corporate communications
  • Knowledge of the commercial space ecosystem and key industry events
  • Network of established contacts in the space industry

Job Duties

  • Build our corporate identity and reputation through strategic event planning and execution from conception to detailed execution
  • Engage with key investors and partners to amplify Stoke's messaging and influence among target audiences
  • Strategically select and pursue awards speaking engagements and sponsorships for Stoke leaders and representatives to participate in
  • Support executive communications around events and partnerships
  • Collaborate with the Brand & Marketing team to ensure alignment across all external communications and events
  • Develop comprehensive partnership strategies that enhance Stoke's position in the space industry
  • Measure and report on the impact of events and partnerships to continuously refine approach
