The role of Director of Events and Experiences is a pivotal leadership position within Bilt’s marketing team, based in their New York office, operating on a full-time, in-office basis. This role is designed for a seasoned professional with a deep background in event management and hospitality to oversee and scale Bilt’s events calendar and experiences function. The Director will focus on delivering hospitality-forward events aligned with Bilt’s brand values and consumer engagement strategies.
Key responsibilities involve leading and evolving Bilt's Consumer Brand Events Strategy, targeting influencers and partners with premium, memorable experiences. The role demands cultivating a membership-level experience at every touchpoint while introducing innovative activations such as Block Party and House Party events that engage neighborhood communities. Additionally, the Director will spearhead Bilt's Neighborhood Commerce Event Strategy, expanding B2B and B2C event initiatives across strategic markets. A crucial part of the role involves developing and nurturing relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure events support broader business objectives and partner network growth.
Vendor and partner management is critical in this role, requiring negotiation skills to secure contracts that maximize value without compromising quality. The Director will also oversee all logistics and operational aspects from planning to post-event review, ensuring flawless execution under tight deadlines.
This position offers a competitive salary range from $130,000 to $150,000, complemented by equity and an annual performance-based bonus. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing communications hospitality or related field
- 5-7+ years of experience in event management brand operations or hospitality
- Proven experience in vendor management budgeting and logistics
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Ability to work in-office full-time in New York City including flexibility for occasional extended hours
Job Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience in brand operations event management or related fields
- 5+ years in hospitality-related experiences
- Strong experience in vendor management budgeting and logistical planning
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering premium experiences
