The Director of Events and Community Engagement at CCMC plays a vital and dynamic leadership role within this vibrant new town. This position is focused on enhancing the resident experience by creating and implementing strategic programming and impactful events that foster meaningful community connections and activate public spaces. The Director oversees the planning, execution, and continuous development of community-wide initiatives that reflect the unique identity, culture, and values of the community. This involves collaborating with local partners and the Board of Directors to ensure alignment with the community’s mission and strategic goals. Leading a dedicated team and managing departmental operations and budgets are also central to this role, ensuring the delivery of innovative and inclusive engagement opportunities.

As a key ambassador for the community, the Director of Events and Community Engagement embodies CCMC’s commitment to excellence in service, communication, and program execution. The role demands a leader who can strategically guide community programming efforts, activate spaces with creative and diverse initiatives, and integrate arts and cultural elements that celebrate community identity. The Director is responsible for maintaining high standards of operational quality through policy development and continuous improvement practices. Strong communication skills are a must, as the position involves crafting strategic messaging across multiple platforms, managing sponsorship and partnership programs, and responding professionally to resident inquiries.

Beyond event management, this role requires compliance oversight with laws, permits, and insurance as well as fiscal responsibility in budgeting and revenue tracking. The Director fosters a vibrant, connected, and thriving community environment through visionary leadership and a passion for enriching the resident experience. This position offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, wellness programs, and retirement plans. Job Requirements

Job Duties

identify and implement ways to activate community spaces, ensuring they are dynamic, welcoming, and utilized to their fullest potential through diverse programs, pop-up events, and creative initiatives
incorporate arts and cultural elements into programming that reflects and celebrates the communitys identity
provide strategic guidance to the Board of Directors on long-term programming, space utilization, and communication initiatives
lead and support a high-performing team responsible for planning and executing events, programs, and daily operations
develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures with a focus on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement
oversee community partnerships and sponsorship programs, including identifying opportunities to collaborate with local organizations and businesses
contribute to the development and review of content for communication platforms such as website, newsletters, promotional materials, social media, ensuring brand alignment and strategic messaging
ensure all communications are timely, accurate, and representative of the communitys values and vision
ensure all events, programs, and space activations comply with applicable laws, insurance, and permitting requirements
prepare, manage, and monitor the departments annual budget, including revenue tracking and variance analysis
act as a brand ambassador, fostering connections and creating opportunities that strengthen community identity and engagement
respond to resident inquiries in a timely, professional manner, reinforcing a high standard of service
