Encore's extensive portfolio and expertise allow it to be a trusted partner in creating seamless and memorable event experiences through cutting-edge technology and expert support.
The role of Director, Event Technology (SNE) at Encore is pivotal in driving the operational success and financial performance of assigned locations, with venue revenues ranging between $450,000 and $900,000. Proactive collaboration with venue sales leadership ensures Encore leverages all resources for renewing and growing business. The Director's responsibilities extend into orchestrating daily operations, including scheduling, equipment setup, and quality control, ensuring every event is executed flawlessly.
Financial stewardship is a core part of the role, requiring the Director to manage expenses such as labor and equipment sub-rentals carefully while maximizing revenue generation. This includes preparing and reviewing forecast and performance reports, managing profit and loss statements, and ensuring timely billing and collections. They actively contribute to business review presentations alongside regional management to align on progress and opportunities.
Operationally, the Director ensures all equipment and services comply with brand standards and client expectations, exercising technical skills for troubleshooting equipment and software issues efficiently. They may act as the sole onsite technician when necessary, underscoring the need for deep technical acumen. The role also includes embracing Encore's core competencies such as delivering world-class service, driving results, seeing the big picture with financial acumen, valuing people through effective team management, and adhering to ethical standards.
Sales management is another vital element, with the Director creating strategies to optimize revenue through upselling and cross-selling, presenting compelling proposals, and supporting customer events via site visits and planning meetings. Maintaining accurate client data within the customer relationship management (CRM) system ensures operational smoothness and customer satisfaction.
The role prioritizes customer service excellence by fostering positive interactions with clients and staff and monitoring the event execution to exceed expectations. The Director also champions people development, promoting accountability, continuous improvement, and ensuring proper training aligned with company standards and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Physically, the role requires the ability to perform various activities such as sitting, standing, walking, stooping, and lifting weights up to occasionally over 100 pounds, often in hotel and convention center environments that may vary from quiet to noisy. Flexibility in work hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call status, is necessary.
The position offers a salary range of $55,485.30 to $72,141.55, with final compensation influenced by experience, skills, location, and potential for incentives. Encore is dedicated to creating an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity and offers extensive benefit options, reflecting its commitment to employee well-being and professional growth.
