Established as one of the fastest-growing technology firms in Silicon Valley, Supermicro prides itself on innovation, quality, and providing comprehensive solutions that empower businesses worldwide. The company has expanded rapidly and offers numerous opportunities for talented professionals who are passionate about technology and leadership to contribute to its continued success.
The role of Director, Event Program, headquartered in San Jose, California, is a strategic leadership position critical to advancing Supermicro’s brand presence and market influence through high-caliber event initiatives. This role involves overseeing the comprehensive planning, development, and execution of corporate events, industry trade shows, customer summits, partner conferences, and executive programs on a national scale. This leadership position directly contributes to strengthening customer relationships, enhancing partner engagement, and increasing revenue-impacting opportunities through innovative, scalable event experiences.
The Director will be responsible for designing event strategies that align with broader marketing and sales ambitions. Managing a robust annual calendar of events and prioritizing initiatives based on potential return on investment ensures optimal use of resources while maximizing brand visibility and engagement. Essential to this role is the management of large-scale conferences such as GTC, OCP, and Supercomputing, alongside product launches and partner forums that highlight Supermicro’s technological leadership.
Collaboration with various departments including Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Executive leadership is crucial to developing and executing event roadmaps that reflect company priorities. The role requires strong project management skills to lead teams and vendors efficiently, overseeing logistics such as venue selection, production, audiovisual needs, staffing, and registration systems. Additionally, the Director will spearhead content creation efforts, ensuring that event messaging, keynotes, demos, and executive briefings clearly convey the value and innovation Supermicro offers.
To measure the success and impact of these programs, the Director will establish clear event KPIs and utilize analytical tools to track leads, pipeline impact, attendance, and engagement metrics. Post-event evaluation and reporting enable continuous improvement and strategic adjustments to enhance future initiatives.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $155,000 to $204,000, reflecting the candidate's experience, education, skill set, and other relevant factors. This compensation is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package, potential bonus opportunities, and equity award programs, affirming Supermicro’s commitment to rewarding its high-performing employees.
Underpinning this role is the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunity employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, and other legally protected categories. The Director will be integral in embodying these values while driving forward Supermicro’s event and marketing strategies with precision and excellence.
