Employees at Snowflake thrive in dynamic environments where creativity, experimentation, and rapid adoption of emerging technologies are highly encouraged. This commitment to excellence and pushing the boundaries of technology has positioned Snowflake as a pioneer in the data platform arena, continuously evolving to meet the needs of its global customer base.
The Director of Event Partnerships (Sponsorship) at Snowflake plays a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s partner engagement strategy through major events. This senior leadership position is responsible for leading a high-performing team to develop world-class exhibitor sales and partner engagement strategies that significantly elevate brand awareness, drive revenue pipeline, and foster community involvement. The role encompasses ownership of Snowflake’s flagship events, including the Snowflake Summit, Snowflake World Tours, and the Data for Breakfast series, focusing on cultivating premium sponsorships, partner activations, and enabling impactful programs.
In this role, the director will oversee the comprehensive strategy and operational execution of regional and global partner events, ensuring seamless experiences for over 500 partners annually. Responsibilities include designing sponsorship prospectuses, managing complex sales operations, setting and attaining revenue targets, and optimizing long-term pipeline projections. The director is also charged with establishing global standards and legal frameworks through collaboration with internal teams and legal counsel, ensuring consistency and compliance across various event cycles.
Leadership is a core element of the position, requiring management of cross-functional internal teams, external agencies, and partnership programs. The director is expected to drive continuous improvement through data-backed insights and feedback gathered from internal and partner executive councils. This role demands a strategic thinker who excels at collaboration across global marketing and sales teams, leveraging analytics and stakeholder communication to refine and scale event partnerships worldwide.
Snowflake offers a competitive salary range for this role, between $202,000 and $265,600 annually, combined with performance bonuses and equity participation plans. Moreover, the company provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plans; flexible spending and health savings accounts; paid time off; parental leave, and more. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with over 12 years in B2B corporate sponsorships and event management, including senior leadership experience in managing large-scale partner programs and revenue streams within the enterprise technology or SaaS sectors.
Joining Snowflake means becoming part of a fast-growing, innovative company culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, offering every team member the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. The company encourages individuals who are curious, collaborative, visionary, and ready to redefine how work is done for the future. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the pioneering spirit of a top-tier technology firm, accelerating both personal and organizational growth through expert event partnership leadership.
