Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Five or more years culinary experience in hospitality
- Food handlers permit as required by state law or company standards
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Valid driver’s license
- Compliance with company motor vehicle policy standards
- Ability to resolve customer and employee dissatisfaction issues

- Ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and employees
- Food handlers permit as required by state law or company standards
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

- Ability to comply with company motor vehicle policy standards
Job Duties
- Responsible for the day to day operations and staffing for the kitchen and dining venues of their community
- Manages and supervises all Culinary Services staff including scheduling, assignment, direction, performance review, hiring and corrective action
- Meets regularly with residents and family members to confirm high satisfaction levels
- Collaborates with restaurant manager or coordinator to ensure high levels of customer service and a restaurant style dining atmosphere
- Ensures front of house and back of house staff work closely to deliver food products that exceed expectations
- Assists kitchen and restaurant staff with operations as needed, including working all stations
- Works with Executive Director and front line staff to maintain department Customer Satisfaction and Quality Enhancement scores
- Delegates tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality in kitchen and restaurant areas
- Ensures food is prepared, stored, and served to company standards and health code requirements
- Maintains Employee Satisfaction scores at designated levels
- Interviews and hires culinary staff
- Conducts monthly department meetings and in-services
- Manages monthly and annual budgets including documentation of food, supplies, and labor expenditures
- Plans and develops recipes and menus based on resident preferences and budgets
- Ensures proper usage and maintenance of equipment
- Maintains inventory of kitchen supplies, wares, and tableware
- Oversees purchasing standards and vendor relationships
- Plans and executes Engage Life events, special events, banquets, and theme meals
- Collaborates with Community Sales Director to market community culinary initiatives
- Ensures staff understand company expectations and first impression requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested
