Job Description
Restaurant Brands International Inc. (RBI) stands as one of the largest and most influential quick service restaurant companies globally, boasting nearly $45 billion in annual system-wide sales and operating over 32,000 restaurants across more than 120 countries and territories. RBI owns and manages four iconic and widely recognized restaurant brands: TIM HORTONS®, BURGER KING®, POPEYES®, and FIREHOUSE SUBS®. Each brand operates independently yet benefits immensely from RBI’s strategic guidance, global resources, and shared best practices. This organization is deeply committed to creating a positive impact through its "Restaurant Brands for Good" framework, which focuses on sustainability in food sourcing, environmental stewardship, and community engagement, enhancing not only the business but also the lives of its employees, franchisees, and the communities it serves.
Currently, Restaurant Brands International is seeking a highly motivated and strategic leader for the position of Director, Corporate Facilities. This key leadership role is situated within the Global Business Services (GBS) function and requires an individual to oversee the management and operational strategy of RBI's Restaurant Support Centers (RSCs) located across the U.S. and Canada, including major offices in Miami, Jacksonville, Syracuse, Toronto, and others. The Director will play a crucial role in ensuring that these office environments are safe, functional, efficient, and foster a positive experience for all employees and visitors. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Miami, Florida, with an expectation of a five-day, in-office workweek to encourage in-person collaboration and team synergy.
The Director, Corporate Facilities is responsible for leading and coordinating facilities teams at multiple locations, setting and enforcing maintenance and operational strategies, and managing the comprehensive facilities budgets including capital projects and lease agreements. This role demands a strong focus on strategic planning, financial oversight, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships involving executive leadership, legal departments, real estate professionals, finance teams, and third-party service providers.
In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, this individual will spearhead initiatives related to facilities planning, workspace design, and enhancements aimed at improving operational efficiency and employee satisfaction. They must also ensure full compliance with legal and safety standards and serve as a subject matter expert regarding facilities and construction practices across all RSCs. The Director must consistently drive a high-quality service experience, using proactive customer service, effective escalation management, and rigorous performance measurement frameworks.
Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, real estate, engineering, or a related discipline, with over eight years of extensive experience in facilities or office management across multiple locations in North America. Strong organizational skills, project management expertise, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic work environments are essential. Effective communication skills and a proven ability to foster collaborative relationships across all organizational levels will be critical to success in this role. Flexibility to accommodate occasional use of evenings or weekends and willingness to travel up to 30 percent within North America are important.
In return, RBI offers a comprehensive benefits package aimed at supporting employees' physical, mental, and financial wellness. This includes progressive benefits such as a global paid parental leave program, free telemedicine access, and mental health support services. RBI is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring fair hiring practices without discrimination and providing accommodations for applicants with disabilities upon request.
