Job Description

Learfield is a leading sports marketing and media company specializing in collegiate sports. The company partners with collegiate programs and conferences to provide multi-platform media rights management, marketing services, sponsorship sales, and event experiences that amplify fan engagement and deliver value to clients and partners. Known for its innovative approach and strong presence in the collegiate sports industry, Learfield has cemented itself as a premier player in the sector, creating memorable experiences that connect brands with passionate audiences. With a deep understanding of the sports market and a broad network, Learfield operates at the intersection of sports, marketing, and media to drive growth and build lasting relationships within the industry.

The Director of Corporate Events at Learfield plays a pivotal role in the strategic planning, execution, and hosting of high-profile industry events that are key to building client and partner engagement. This role entails overseeing a diverse portfolio of events ranging from large-scale conferences, networking functions, and hospitality experiences, including exclusive events related to landmark occasions like the Final Four and College Football Playoff. The Director is responsible for crafting an event strategy that aligns with multiple stakeholder objectives while delivering memorable experiences that reinforce Learfield's culture and market position.

The position requires a visionary leader who excels in managing end-to-end event processes including venue selection, logistics, production, and on-site management to ensure every event meets Learfield’s high standards. This includes managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts to maximize budget efficiency. The role also demands collaborative engagement with teams across marketing, communications, sales, partnerships, and executive leadership to ensure event objectives support broader business goals.

A critical element of the role is to track and measure event effectiveness through attendance analytics and post-event business outcomes, providing detailed reports and recommendations for continual improvement. The Director will lead and mentor a corporate events team and manage external agencies or contractors, fostering a culture that is collaborative, detail-oriented, and client service focused.

This is a full-time leadership position offering a competitive salary range from $140,000 to $145,000 annually, with potential for an annual discretionary bonus and sales compensation based on individual and company performance. Learfield provides an attractive compensation package including comprehensive benefits designed to support employee health, well-being, and financial security.

Overall, this role is ideal for an experienced corporate event professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating exceptional event experiences. If you have a proven track record in managing complex events and a knack for strategic partnership development, this is an exciting opportunity to join a respected leader in collegiate sports marketing and media.
