Job Description
US Foods is a leading foodservice distributor in the United States, dedicated to providing innovative culinary solutions and top-quality ingredients to a wide range of customers. With a focus on hospitality segments such as lodging, resorts, casinos, and golf/country clubs, US Foods continues to expand its reach by combining industry expertise with cutting-edge technology and robust supply chain capabilities. Recognized for its commitment to service excellence and value, US Foods offers employees a dynamic and supportive work environment that encourages growth, leadership, and professional development. The company is headquartered in the US and supports remote working environments to attract and retain a diverse talent pool across the country, excluding Hawaii and United States Territories. The preferred candidate location is in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina to best serve regional market needs.
The Director, Business Development Hospitality role at US Foods is a fully remote position designed to spearhead new business growth within the hospitality segments of lodging, resorts, casinos, and golf/country clubs. This leadership role carries significant responsibility for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities that align with US Foods' national sales objectives. The role requires a highly strategic and proactive sales professional with a hunter mentality and proven ability in executive-level selling and long sales cycle management. The successful candidate will manage an annual shipped sales target of $8.5 million in new customer business and work closely with C-suite and senior hospitality executives to present and sell the full suite of US Foods' offerings, including merchandising solutions, culinary resources, supply chain innovations, and technology platforms.
The Director is also tasked with building and maintaining a robust sales funnel, performing financial analyses to identify opportunities, and collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams such as Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Logistics to ensure seamless onboarding and satisfaction of new clients. Furthermore, the role includes strategic account targeting, representation at hospitality industry events, and contributing to thought leadership to establish US Foods as the preferred business partner in the hospitality sector. With an expectation of frequent travel ranging from 50% to 75%, this position requires an individual with strong executive presence, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field is required, along with at least seven years of relevant sales or business development experience, preferably within hospitality industries such as lodging, resorts, casinos, or golf/country clubs.
Compensation includes an annual incentive plan bonus alongside comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, disability coverage, and an employee stock purchase plan. The Director will play a crucial role in elevating US Foods’ hospitality market growth and reinforcing its position as an innovative leader in foodservice distribution and customer-centric solutions.
